The SMARTCEL project aims to create intelligent energy services for local energy communities that serve to meet needs such as real-time energy management or secure economic transactions. The project is funded by the AEI (Agrupaciones Empresariales Innovadoras), is led by the Clúster de l'Energia Eficient de Catalunya and has the participation of ARCbcn and Bamboo Energy Platform.

The service is implemented through the integration and adaptation of two technological platforms: a shared self-consumption and energy flexibility management platform, and a P2P trading platform where users will be able to trade their energy and flexibility.

In the first phase, it is tested in a simulation environment (TRL 4) and in the second phase, it will be taken to an energy community pilot (TRL 6).
